Brief: To create a large kitchen/breakfast room.

Design:The design has  rationalized the rear ground floor area, by the replacement of a badly constructed  veranda and extension. The remodelled and extended kitchen sits in the location of the former structures with access to the garden via the large sliding doors and a teraced area with steps down to te garden. The flat roof allows the extension to sit below the first floor windows whilst still achieving high ceiling levels. The use of render with feature brickwork subtely links and unites the new to the old.
